Institutional Advancement, Communications & Community Engagement at Quinsigamond Community College encompasses strategic priorities such as Alumni Engagement, Community Engagement, Government Relations, Grants Development, and Institutional Communications. Institutional Advancement also works in concert with the QCC Foundation, providing administrative support and advice in all their endeavors.
The QCC Foundation is proud that 100% of scholarship contributions go directly to scholarship funds and that 90% of program-related contributions are applied directly to program costs.
Community Engagement
The Community Engagement Department fosters and leverages relationships between QCC and community-based organizations and other Greater Worcester agencies. Existing collaborations include Latino Education Institute, Southeast Asian Coalition and African Community Education, as well as many others. The department creates and supports events that increase the College’s visibility throughout the community, while highlighting QCC’s contributions to Worcester County and Massachusetts.
Development
The Development Office is responsible for increasing alumni awareness and involvement with the College, as well as planning and coordinating fundraising events and cultivating potential donors.
Government Relations
The Government Relations team at QCC fosters strong relationships with local, state, and federal legislators, and other public officials. The team works to keep legislators informed of important developments at QCC, secure resources and create opportunities for educational growth and innovation, and advocate for policies that support our students, staff, faculty, and the broader Worcester community.
Grants Development
The purpose of the Grants Development Office (GDO) at QCC is to help faculty and staff of the College seek external funding in support of student-centered priorities that are not possible through the college's standard operating budget. The GDO supports the entire fund seeking process, including funding source research, concept development, project quantification and budgeting, written description and/or editing, and proposal submission to government or private funding sources. The main goal is to enhance college academic offerings, the college environment, student accessibility, and student success.
Institutional Communications
