We are excited to announce QCC Votes, a new initiative aimed at increasing voter registration and engagement within our QCC community. In partnership with The Office of Community Engagement, the ACLU, Third Act, Student Services, and Alumni Services, this initiative will be kicking off on September 17th with a special event to celebrate and promote voter registration.
As part of this effort, volunteers are needed to wear a voter registration lanyard featuring a QR code. This QR code allows individuals to easily start the process of registering to vote by simply scanning the code with their smartphones. The commitment is flexible – you can choose to wear the lanyard as much or as little as you like. The goal is to make voter registration as accessible and convenient as possible for everyone on campus.
Voting is a fundamental right and an important way for individuals to have their voices heard in our democracy. By promoting voter registration, we are empowering our students, colleagues, and community members to take an active role in shaping the future. Your involvement can have a significant impact on increasing voter participation and ensuring that every eligible voter has the opportunity to exercise their right to vote.
We hope you will join us in this important effort and help spread the word about the importance of voting. Together, we can make a difference and inspire our community to engage in the electoral process.
