ACE Bound: Your 5 Application Steps

1. Contact an ACE Enrollment Counselor

To learn how to start the application process, please e-mail an ACE enrollment counselor at ace@qcc.mass.edu. You will be asked to complete The ACE Residency form, which will allow us to create your QCC record and QCC ID#. We will also have you email your high school transcript, MCAS test scores and any PSAT or SAT scores you may have.

2. Receive Application Materials

If you meet the academic standards (stated above), a QCC ACE program enrollment counselor will email you the ACE application links. You will receive an application link that is to be completed by you and your family. You will also receive a separate application link to be completed with your school counselor and signed by your principal.

3. Complete Required Courses

Your high school guidance counselor will list the required courses to fulfill your high school graduation requirements. We recommend that alternate courses be included in the event that a first choice is unavailable.

4. Submit Application Materials

Submit your completed ACE applications to your QCC enrollment counselor at the email they provide and they will formally request your acceptance into the program. You will receive an acceptance email within a few days and it will include your next steps and the contact information of your ACE advisor. Please contact your advisor to schedule your course registration appointment.

5. Register for Courses!

If you and your parent deem this program as an appropriate academic opportunity, course registration will take place during this appointment.

Cost of Attending ACE

Please note, if you are accepted into the ACE program, you are not eligible for financial aid. You are responsible for the cost of enrolling in courses at QCC. ACE Acceptance Criteria

To be eligible for acceptance into the ACE program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled in high school
  • MCAS scores:
    • 2.7 unweighted GPA and Advanced on the ELA MCAS, or
    • 2.7 unweighted GPA and Proficient on the ELA MCAS and a B average (3.0) in English, or
    • 2.7 unweighted GPA and top 75 percentile for Verbal on PSAT.
  • Demonstrate satisfactory disciplinary history in your student profile

Deadlines

Here are the application deadlines for each semester:

  • Preferred application deadline for the fall semester: July 1
  • Preferred application deadline for the spring semester: December 15
