ICWs Executive Director, Jon Feinman, and participants Tiyreek MacFee and Daiquan Rice will talk about how ICW evolved, the impact ICW hopes to have, and where ICW is going.

InnerCity Weightlifting is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with the mission of amplifying the voice and agency of people most impacted by mass incarceration and systemic racism.

Specifically, they work with people who have been stigmatized by the judicial system without consideration of an individual's context, circumstance, or humanity. They certify participants in our program as personal trainers. As they begin training clients at their gym, not only do people gain economic mobility, but more importantly, power dynamics flip.
