Have you seen QCC's Prayer, Meditation & Reflection Space? Located in room 102A in the Administration Building, this space offers a tranquil retreat for students, faculty and staff seeking a moment of quiet reflection or spiritual practice amidst their busy schedules.

The space was conceived by Liz Woods and Executive Director of DEI Kevin Lovaincy.

"I am very happy to have this space and provide for the needs of the entire community. Students have been utilizing it quite a bit," Woods said.

Faith-based groups and individuals can reserve the space for 30 minutes by scanning the QR code found on the flyers around campus (including the door of 102A). Reservations are required and can be made from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

"It's our responsibility to provide an accommodating space for our community to pray, meditate or decompress," Lovaincy commented.

This thoughtfully designed room is outfitted with prayer rugs, cushions and a shoe rack, as well as adult coloring books and markers, offering a creative outlet for mindfulness and stress relief. To enhance accessibility and convenience, free Wi-Fi is provided, allowing users to access digital resources such as the Calm app, which is free for QCC faculty, staff and full-time students.
