As a college with community in its very name, Quinsigamond Community College is all about community partnerships. As QCC enters the fall season, two new partnerships are being spotlighted in the month of September.

Yoga in Our Community

QCC has partnered with UniCare to host a free wellness series. The series will start with two free yoga classes at 9:00 a.m. Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1 at the soccer field on the main campus. The event is open to the public and all are welcome!

"This partnership between Quinsigamond Community College and UniCare will benefit our campus and the Worcester community, as well as our students,” said QCC President Dr. Luis G. Pedraja. “Health and mental wellbeing go hand-in-hand with student success. Yoga is a way to help people reduce stress and mental tension, while also getting in good physical shape.”

For those interested in attending, sign-ups are required. Visit yogainourcommunity.com.

Alumni Business Owners Network

Do you know any QCC alumni who have their own local business? If so, make sure to invite them to become part of the QCC Alumni Business Network. This group celebrates the success of business owners who are vital to our local economy and provides resources to help those businesses grow. The group provides networking opportunities with other companies, educational resources, promotion through QCC's social media platform and webpage, and much more.

Business owners are encouraged to join if they attended QCC in any capacity-- whether in the high school completion program, ESOL, workforce training, college credits earned at QCC, or have completed a certificate program or graduated with an associate degree.

Alumni business owners can visit the Alumni Business Owners Network to join.

The first Alumni Business Owners Network event will be AlumNight Out on Wednesday, September 28 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Nuestra Restaurant, 55 Pearl Street, Worcester. Come meet your fellow business owners, who are the heart of the central Massachusetts business community.
