Worcester celebrated its birthday in a big way this year and QCC joined in on the fun! Worcester, Massachusetts was established as a town on June 14, 1722, making this summer the 300th anniversary of New England's second biggest city. The city put on a three-day Tercentennial Weekend which included events such as a 5K road race, a parade through downtown, a festival on the Worcester Common, and a concert at the DCU Center.

Representatives from Admissions and student volunteers were part of the Worcester Tercentennial Festival on June 11, spreading the word about Worcester's favorite college. In addition to receiving information about QCC, visitors could test out 3-D printed musical instruments from the Fab Lab. Here's to another 300 years!

QCC will have another reason to celebrate soon when the college has its 60th anniversary in 2023. Stay tuned for updates on events.
