QCC has begun the exciting process of implementing Jenzabar One, a Student Information System (SIS). Having this new system will ensure that data is current and accurate across all areas of the college, making processes and communication more efficient and easier for students, faculty and staff.

Jenzabar One (also referred to as “J1”) is the newest SIS platform from Jenzabar, the same company that developed CX, QCC’s current system. Utilizing the same vendor for a new SIS allows for some preexisting knowledge, which will make data transition that much easier. Additionally, the implementation team from Jenzabar has completed many CX to J1 transitions, so they are completely ready to guide QCC through this important process.

The orientation stage recently got underway and included the gathering of information from various departments to learn how the college operates and assess its existing and future needs. Configuration, data migration and customization will follow, with the ultimate goal of J1 acting as the primary source of data college wide. QCC and the Jenzabar team are energized for a successful implementation and the process is expected to take approximately 24 months.
